How to humble yourself as required in 2 Chronicles 7:14
Mar 20th 2026
1 Chronicles 7:14KJV If my people which are called name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Start with JESUS ---> There is a song by 7eventh Times Down, Just Say Jesus, that encourages all to say the name "Jesus" when we don't know hoe to pray or start a prayer session. It's a great suggestion!
John 1:1-5 tells us that Jesus is the complete word of God. I've added the word complete to point out that the Bible does not tell us that Jesus is a part of the word of God.
Anyway, I start with JESUS and go on for five, ten, or fifteen or thirty minutes. I agree that thirty minutes seems long, but it is not the standard. Normally it is five minutes or less. Somewhere between five minutes and half an the Halleljahs come and continue for a period of time. Having reached this point I recgonize that God knows all I might say and I simply yeild my tongue to His will. I know that all He desires to do on earth must be spoken by us, and I proclaim the yeilding of my tongue to His will.
I do not seek the understanding even as it regards to me least I rebel in thought seeking freedom to correct His planning.
Romans 8:26-28KJV Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27) And he that searches the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28) And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.
